Day 1: Foundations of Interdisciplinary Research

(Understanding Disciplinary, Interdisciplinary, Multidisciplinary, & Transdisciplinary Research)

Objective: To make the Learners understand different types of research—Disciplinary, Interdisciplinary, Multidisciplinary, & Transdisciplinary Research.

Day 2: Identifying Interdisciplinary Research Problems

(Formulating Research Problems Across Disciplines)

Objective: To enable the Learners convert a single-discipline or mono- discipline topic into an interdisciplinary research problem.

Day 3: Literature Review in Interdisciplinary Research

(Integrating Knowledge from Multiple Disciplines)

Objective: To enable the Learners learn create a concept map connecting theories from two disciplines and review literature with examples

Day 4: Research Design for Interdisciplinary Studies

(Designing Integrated Research Frameworks)

Objective: To enable the Learners draft a simple interdisciplinary research design.

Day 5: Data Collection Methods Across Disciplines

(Integrating Methods and Data Sources)

Objective: To enable the Learners design a data collection plan combining two methods.

Day 6: Data Analysis and Interpretation

(Analytical Techniques in Interdisciplinary Research)

Objective: To enable the Learners analyse data and interpret data using multiple disciplinary perspectives.

Day 7: Writing and Communicating Interdisciplinary Research

(Presenting Interdisciplinary Research Outcomes in Research Papers)

Objective: To enable the Learners outline an Extended Abstract and Research Paper on interdisciplinary research.

DAY 1 FOUNDATIONS OF INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH
Understanding Disciplinary, Interdisciplinary, Multidisciplinary, and Transdisciplinary Research ||LEARNING OBJECTIVES|| By the end of Day 1, the Learners will be able to: • Distinguish between disciplinary, multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary research • Understand the need and evolution of interdisciplinary approaches • Identify real-world applications of each approach • Apply these concepts to research problem formulation

DAY 4 RESEARCH DESIGN FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES
Designing Integrated Research Frameworks) || LEARNING OBJECTIVES || By the end of Day 4, Learners will be able to: • Understand the concept of interdisciplinary research design • Identify and frame complex, cross-disciplinary research problems • Develop integrated conceptual and analytical frameworks • Select appropriate mixed and hybrid methodologies • Address epistemological and methodological challenges • Design policy-relevant and impact-oriented research models

DAY 5 DATA COLLECTION METHODS ACROSS DISCIPLINES IN INRTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH

DAY 6 DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

DAY 7 WRITING AND COMMUNICATING INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH
Presenting Interdisciplinary Research Outcomes in Research Papers || LEARNING OBJECTIVES|| By the end of Day 7, Learners will be able to: • Structure and write interdisciplinary research papers • Develop extended abstracts for conferences and journals • Communicate integrated research findings clearly • Present multi-disciplinary insights coherently • Apply academic writing standards (APA/others) • Translate research into policy-relevant narratives

ONE-WEEK FDP INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
After completing the week-long Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Interdisciplinary Research Methodology, you are now eligible to take the Assessment Test. The test consists of 100 MCQs, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 100 marks. A minimum score of 40% is required to successfully pass the test and receive the certificate
